The Cincinnati Bailliage held its annual induction dinner at the prestigious Metropolitan Club on May 19th, 2019. Located just across the Ohio River in Covington, KY the Metropolitan Club is a private business club which was founded in 1991. The club mission is to unite diverse business leaders in the region who desire to make a difference in the community.
The Bailliage was able to gain access to this distinguished organization through the generosity of Vice Chargé de Presse Honoraire Dan Fay. Executive Chef Kelsey Yerger and Vice Conseiller Gastronomique Chuck Hong conspired to prepare an extraordinary six course dinner which was meticulously paired with wines selected by Vice Echanson Provincial Mary Horn and her wine committee. From the appetizers through dessert, a chorus of praise was raised by Bailliage members.
Prior to the induction phase of the evening, Bailli George Elliott introduced Bailli Provincial Midwest Renee Wilmeth who lead the evening’s ceremonies. Highlights of the event included the induction of eleven new members to the Chaîne, two new members to Société Mondiale, and three members who were honored in the “Les Advancements” portion of the induction. Board members Marcus Relthford and Janet Reynolds were bestowed the title of Chargé de Mission and Mary Horn was given the well deserved title of Vice Echanson Provincial.
The combination of exquisitely prepared food and wine, warm camaraderie, and a 365 degree view of Greater Cincinnati made the dinner a truly memorable occasion. It’s no wonder that this club is a favorite Bailliage venue.
